The new WTC design has been chosen, done by the same company that is doing the Denver Art Museum Expansion. Both are very cool projects.

Un-
Uninspired, uninsured, unemployed. These three things always seem to go so well together, don’t they? Time to finish Vice City and spend time with the kids.
They’re Grrrrreat….
This gave me a big ol’ smile.
While I am here, ill post this shitty link too. Make sure you click the “bald guy” pop-up …. This one DID NOT give me a smile, It made me want to hurl.
Sing it
There is one PDA I can think of where you can install applications to memory cards with no consequences. Here’s a hint: It starts with “N”, ends with “n”, and has “ewto” in the middle. What a surprise. Add it to the list of things Apple got right 10 years ago that no other vendor has managed since.
Sing it, brother. Steven (the guy that brought you Transmit and Audion) waxes technological about the shortcomings of ‘modern’ PDAs. I really should just up and buy a Newton.
Chiggity check the shizzle in the dizzle, motha-fizzle
Microsoft has launched some wack-ass combination of internet radio, IM and P2P, dubbed 3°. I just love it when marketing people try and speak like teens:
The 411: Want to know what’s going on in the world of 3°? Check here for the lowdown!
Uhm. Right, MS. Maybe you should talk to the Beef Council and see how their youth outreach program is holding up.
Konfabulator
I have no idea how to even begin describing Konfabulator. It’s a development platform, it’s a handy toolkit, its possibiities are wide-open. Basically, you download the Konfabulator software, which then in turn runs ‘widgets’ that you can download through the software or via the web. It runs software that is written with a combination of XML, Javascript and Applescript. Wait a minute.. I kind of know those three… maybe you’ll see a widget from me. I’m currently running a nifty little task tracker and a translucent weather display.
Hi.
Welcome back. Things have changed a bit, as you might have noticed. The survey and search are gone for now, but they’ll be back momentarily. There’s a new feature over there on the right, the ‘Latest Links’ section. It’s basically a regular expression that parses posts and provides you, the reader, with the 10 latest links posted. New codebase and a new design were a little overdue, as the ‘blue mac’ design was launched just about 2 years ago. Let us know what you think as long you like it.
Sigh
They’ve been saying it for years. But now some dumb Candadian bastard think he’s the end-all, be-all source of knowledge of Apple’s ‘demise.’ Did no one tell him that his Palm software crashing what I assume to be OS 9 does not meant Apple is ‘cooked?’ Someone needs to step inside and stop staring at the sun for a bit.
Be-ating a dead horse
Be, Inc Files Suit Against Microsoft for Violations of Antitrust Laws
I’d almost say this is a David/Goliath thing but we all know that Be is simply grasping at straws.Their OS wasn’t even popular when it was in its heyday – the early 90′s, before Windows ’95 and Microsoft’s subsequent taking over of the universe.
And BeBoxen were blue. Everyone knows you can’t sue someone if your computers are different colors.

Just a collection of some of our best rants:
Okay, enough narcissism for one day.
Mmmmmm
Dude, yer gettin’ up to 3 months!
Actor who plays ‘Steven’ in [Dell] ads charged with pot possesion
Actor Benjamin Curtis, the well-known Dell Computer Corp. pitchman “Steven” who says on television, “Dude, yer gettin’ a Dell,” was arrested for possessing marijuana in New York, officials said Monday.
Maybe he and Ellen Feiss can smoke up together with the long-haird hippy CEO in the Gateway commercials. I’d put a Compaq/HP reference in there but their ads have like zero personality.

Someone please shut this guy up. Like with a shotgun.
While sound and sight go hand-in-hand in most mediums, until recently web publishers practically forbade advertisers from using audio in standard web advertising. Not any more.
I can barely deal with the NewsToday chime when it loads in a background tab. I can’t even imagine how awful ads with sound would be. Oh wait — yes I can… Ater using Earthlink’s portal for a few months when I was a subscriber, they added a Flash ad to the top of the main page. Every time you loaded it (which because it was a portal homepage was often) the animation started over again, including the sound. I quickly switched to my.yahoo.com.
